Info about Cloning
What about animal cloning you need to know
In 1997 animal cloning started. If we consider this process from a scientifically point of view, we can say that in that year the life was cloned. Ever since there were a lot of debase whether cloning is an ethical thing to do. Like fertilization in vitro, probably cloning will become a very normal think and there will not be the question of being ethical or not. There were different methods of cloning but they all failed until the cloning of sheep Dolly that used as a method of cloning a mammary gland cell. The cell was taken from a sheep that was fully-grown. This was the first cloning that resulted in an animal that did not died after this process and that develop normally, such that it could procreate in time.
There are many things that are debated with cloning, even if this process is not allowed in all countries and the human cloning is not allowed anywhere, just yet. The reason for which cloning should be seen as a good thing is because with the help of cloning we could have the possibility of saving species that are in danger of extinction. There has been an attempt for this was the animal that was cloned after the adult one started to develop the same problems. This means that in the future the same process can be repeated to solve the problems of this type of cases and also to increase the number of animals that are in danger of extinctions but which are healthy.
The bad consequences of animal cloning will be over populating. But this over populating will be valid especially in human cases. Also, so far the knowledge of cloning is not complete, therefore there are a lot of cloning that don’t have the expected result. There are problems that occur before the cloned animal is born and there are problems that come in time. Also, there are a lot of genetic problems that can make the animal to get born with mutations. Just considering that these animals that are developing problems are going through a lot of suffering during their live, cloning should not be the solution. Of course, that we need to develop, but this development should not be done over the suffering of a live that does not have the power to decide or even the freedom to do so. But all this are surpassed apparently in the name of science, which is a pity for our kind.
